Weckman container trailers are designed for the transport of grain and animal feed. Even the finest materials can be transported securely on the robust-framed grain trailer with fixed sides. The volume of the standard trailers is 16.2-21.4 m³, and it can be increased even further with the help of the animal feed cassette. The cone-shaped platform, which opens backwards by 50 mm, is a great advantage when unloading, especially in the transport of feed. Thanks to all their thought-out details, Weckman’s tractor trailers are durable, safe and comfortable to use.

Container sides

In Weckman trailers, the structure of the sides ensures tightness even with finer materials. The sides are made of 3 mm thick Docol 420 steel. The sides are rigid and sturdy thanks to the box-type structure along the top and bottom. The standard height of the sides of the container of Weckman grain trailers is 155 mm. The volume of the platform can be increased by a feed cassette that is available as an accessory. The hydraulically operated tailgate opens upwards and is equipped with a grain hatch. When closed, the tailgate is automatically locked behind the brackets in the corner post, which prevents the pressure exerted by the load from opening the tailgate. For added safety, the hydraulic tailgate is equipped with a dual-lock valve. The carefully thought-out details bring added comfort and safety.

Robust frame, durable and spacious trailer bed

The frame and platform structure with high torsional rigidity increases the lifespan of the trailer and enables it to withstand formidable stress. The frame and platform runners are made of tubular beams. The frame is dip-coated, resulting in a coating that also covers the inside of the tubular beam, preventing corrosion. The thick bottom plate can withstand loading stress and retains its shape well, thanks to supporting cross-members. The platform is spray-painted. To help unloading, the shape of the platform is conical, expanding towards the back by 50 mm, and its smooth inside and bevelled inner corners reduce material sticking. The long towbar also improves the turning radius of the trailer when running on twin wheels. The hydraulic hose support on the towbar prevents damage caused by the lower link arms.

Sturdy bogie with high ground clearance

The Weckman trailer has a symmetrical bogie design, in which the middle axle is lower than the hub axles, enabling the trailer to pass over obstacles easily, which helps to keep the load stable during transport. Weckman trailers have high ground clearance, since the sturdy bogie does not need any additional support. The wheels are equipped with high-quality FAD hubs. The swing-arm axle has a ball bearing (WS130 KG) or a self-aligning ball bearing (WS180 KG).
